The factory

We make it. That is the whole proposition.

Sanlavo is a hair care manufacturer in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Brands, salons and distributors come to us because the product is made here rather than sourced and relabelled.

Who we are

A manufacturing business with a sales desk in front of it.

Most private label suppliers you will speak to are traders. They take your brief, place it with a factory and pass the answer back. That model works until something needs a decision — a viscosity that feels wrong, a pump that does not fit, a label claim that will not pass in your market.

We run the other way round. The production site is the business, and the people answering your email can walk to the line. That is why the answers are specific and why the changes are possible without a re-quote chain.

We produce shampoo, conditioner, treatments, hair colour, scalp care and styling products for brands across four product families — the same families listed in the catalogue, made with your label on them.

Capability

What happens inside the building.

Four stages, one site. Nothing is subcontracted between filling and packing, which is where most delays and mismatches are introduced.

01

Compounding

Formulas are weighed and mixed in-house against a written batch record, so the version you approved is the version that gets produced.

02

Filling

Liquid, cream, gel and foam filling across bottles, tubes, jars and sachets, with fill weight checked during the run rather than only at the end.

03

Labelling and cartoning

Label application, carton erection, leaflet insertion and shrink or sleeve finishing are handled on the same site as filling.

04

Quality control

Incoming component checks, in-process checks and a release check against the agreed specification before the carton is sealed.

Quality

Checks at four points, not one.

A final inspection catches a finished problem. Checking at each stage catches the cause, which is cheaper for both of us.

  1. 01

    Incoming

Component and raw material checks against the approved sample and specification.

  2. 02

    In process

Appearance, fill weight, closure tightness and labelling checked through the run.

  3. 03

    Release

Finished carton inspected against the approved artwork, count and packing scope.

  4. 04

    Records

Batch records retained so a later question can be answered with the actual data.

Documents & systems

Factory documents, not a slide deck.

Importers and marketplaces ask for paperwork before they agree a listing. Licences, GMP certificates and market-specific records are held by the site that makes your batch, and current copies are issued per project.

The document pack

What arrives with a batch.

Product documents are issued against the batch that was actually produced. Market documents are prepared against the destination you sell into — tell us the market first and the list follows from it.

Request the document list

Product documents

Ingredient list, MSDS and certificate of analysis, issued per batch.

Market documents

Whatever the destination market requires, confirmed before production starts.

Factory evidence

Site and licence records for onboarding, shared under NDA where required.

Artwork files

Print-ready label and carton files, yours to keep.

Visits

Come and look at the line.

Buyers who visit before ordering tend to stay for years. If you are in Guangdong, we can arrange a site visit, a sample review and a look at the components we hold.

Ask the technical question first.

Send the hardest question you have about a formula, a pack or a claim. The answer will tell you more about working with us than the rest of this page.
