Format — solution

Waterless and travel formats for low-plastic concepts.

Solid and compact formats are a packaging decision as much as a formula decision. The product has to work without a bottle, the instructions have to change, and the carton carries more of the explanation than it does on a liquid.

Where this comes from

Who asks for this, and why.

Buyers here are usually building a concept rather than filling a shelf: travel retail, gifting, hotel programmes, or a brand with a low-plastic position that has to be credible.

  1. 01

Whether the format is the product or an add-on to an existing line

  2. 02

Bar weight and shape, and how the customer stores it between uses

  3. 03

Carton structure — individual, set, or tin

  4. 04

Instructions, because a bar is not used like a liquid

  5. 05

How the range is priced against the liquids it replaces

Waterless & travel questions buyers ask

Ask your own question
Do bars need different testing?

They need different stability and use testing from a liquid, and the shelf-life expectations change. Tell us the concept early so the sample route includes it.

Is travel packaging a good first order?

It is a good second order. Travel formats sell well as an add-on once the core product exists, which is also when the volumes make the carton work.

Can a kit mix formats?

Yes — a bar plus a serum, or a cleanser plus a treatment. Mixed kits are usually the fastest way to explain a routine in one purchase.
